We accept submissions till 25th of every month for the scheduled event of the respective month.
All finalists will be notified about their status via e-mail.
We allow only one entry per month per candidate, so pick your best essay to win the competition.
Your essay should have a word strength of 1000-1700 words and be in English.
We accept authentic and unique content only. If found copied, the candidate will be disqualified forever.
Attach your Word document in. docs, .doc, or .pdf format.
Provide your contact information on a separate page of the document.
Prepare your essay on one of the provided topics following the guidelines only.
The file name should be saved as participant’s name, address, Qualification (Class) ,Mobile number and email Id.
Only selected essays of the participants will be published on the website and they will be notified about the same. A countdown of three months will start from the date when the article is published, irrespective of month of participation.
The prizes will be awarded to Winner, First Runner Up, Second Runner Up, ‘GV Choice for Appreciation’ according to the assessment given by the panel to the essays.
Essays found excellent will be shared through various media of Gyan Vitaranam Essay Competition and its associates. The candidate will be notified about the same as well.
The decision of the GV Panel member is the FINAL and no queries related to the result will be entertained.
Once submitted the copyright of the article will be with the Gyan Vitranam Essay Competition.
The essays will be published in the name of the participant without the need for prior permission. However, the participant is also free to withdraw the essay(s) from this platform on request.
The essay shall be accepted only if all the terms and conditions as mentioned are met by the participant.
Terms & Conditions :
The registered students for any of the above-mentioned competitions should be a citizen of India. Participants must submit a SELF ATTESTED copy of their student Identity-Card along-with the essay.
Essay with a word strength below or above 1000-1700 word strength will not be encouraged. This is to maintain the quality of the content and make the review process hassle-free.
The quality of language will not be a decisive factor, as long as the text retains its clarity and coherence.
Wards and relatives of employees of GV of India are INELIGIBLE to participate in this competition.
Acceptance of a prize constitutes the Winner’s permission for GV to use prize winner’s name and likeness for advertising and/or promotional purposes worldwide and in all forms of media in perpetuity without further compensation or authorization. Participants agree that GV and its affiliates, and their officers, employees, agents and representatives (collectively, the “Sponsoring Entities”), shall not be responsible for any losses, damages or injuries of any kind resulting from participation in the Competition or from Participants’ acceptance, receipt, possession and/or use or misuse of any prize. Participants also agree that the Sponsoring Entities have not made and shall not in any manner be liable for any warranty, guarantee, or representation, whether express or implied, with respect to any prize, including without limitation, the prize’s quality or fitness for a particular purpose.
Essays must not contain defamatory, obscene, offensive, or any other unsuitable material. The GVEC reserves the right to disqualify entries containing such. Entries must be suitable to be published by GV for audiences of all ages.
GV policies do not support articles written against anyone / regarding any controversial topics, articles which have an adverse effect on society at large / damage anyone’s sentiments or are biased on the basis of any cast, creed or culture.
There is no alternative prize or cash alternative and prizes are not transferable.
We will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winners. If any winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed his or her prize within 10 days of the announcement date, GV reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible candidate.
Any form of plagiarism will result in an automatic disqualification. It is the responsibility of the participant to ensure that their essay does not infringe the copyright of any third party or any other laws.
